result, in spite of their fine performance,
John Doyle will conduct the band for the
second time as they perform their own choice

Royal Buckley Town Band are pleased to announce that John Doyle will be taking the band to this year’s Welsh Regional contest in Swansea. The band is proud to be associated with John who is currently the principal cornet
player at the Leyland Band, as well as recently being appointed as their associate conductor.
John said ‘As one of Paul Lovatt Cooper's closest friends, he asked me if I would be interested in conducting Buckley at the area as he had a clash with his school. Without a second thought, I accepted the invitation. Not only is Buckley band an exciting set of musicians to work with but they are newly promoted to the 2nd section. I couldn't think of a more fitting outfit to make my debut at the Welsh area with.’
We very much look forward to working with John in the coming weeks. |
